SÁBADOS MUSICALES
PROGRAM
SÁBADOS MUSICALES
Every other Saturday, our volunteers bring music to the children of the Sueños y Esperanzas orphanage in Zapopan.
Guided by qualified music teacher María Luisa Briseño, specialist in toddler and baby music classes, our volunteers spend quality time with the babies and the toddlers at the orphanage.
Music therapy and increased positive contact with adults has been proven to reduce anxiety in children, helping them cope with stress, improving social skills and encouraging interaction.
In its first year, this program allowed our volunteers to connect with and provide emotional support to over 50 babies and toddlers.

I love how music is a universal language that helps us connect with these little ones. They really enjoy making music, dancing and cuddling with us, and I feel that sharing these musical experiences can help them connect not only to each other, but to other human beings just by enjoying making music together.
– Maria Laura Briseño, music teacher
